Here are a couple of short videos a couple of my friends made using my handmade Harry Potter wands. I added simple effects just to enhance the look of the videos they sent me. I think they took these videos during their lunch break. Too bad, they aren’t real HP fans so their wand battle depiction is a little off. They were using them like swords. Weird.

I like how the videos showcase how durable my handmade wands are. They threw them to the floor a couple of times and didn’t damage the wands at all. Imagine if you did that to the official Harry Potter wands or those cheap resin wands being sold in Divisoria and Greenhills. One drop, and bye-bye wand! But not with my wands, being made of wood and sculpting material, they’re very durable and ideal for making these types of fan films.

Retro Adventure Games

After posting about my first computer in a previous blog entry, I decided I’d talk about my favorite retro adventure games.

Adventure games nowadays are a far cry from the classic, retro adventure games of the 80’s. Yes, there were computer games back then too. Nowadays, adventure games are more hack & slash… Yes, some do have a little puzzle-solving involved, but not as hard as it was before. Today, the graphics are superb and almost realistic due to technological advancements in computing. But despite the lack of jaw-dropping graphics back then, games were still cool and engaging.

My First Computer

Do you remember your first ever computer? What was it? Was it a Windows computer? A Mac? Linux? Mine was one of the very first commercially available personal computers… The APPLE II!

Yes, it was the APPLEĀ II, Steve Job’s miracle machine that spawned a new breed of tech geeks. I was like 6 or 7 years old when my mom bought it. Dunno why she did, though. All we ever used it for was games. I guess it was the IN thing at the time.
